Hulett, has generally been credited with being the person responsible for creating the world famous Burlington Liars\u2019 Club. According to the following article, which appeared in the Standard Democrat of December 13, 1940, however, the truth may \u201clie\u201d elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>In the article, Mannel Hahn, who lived in Burlington in the late 1920s into 1930, tells the story of the origin of the Burlington Liars\u2019 Club.
